Real Wedding - Mr & Mrs George

If you're dreaming of a romantic, intimate wedding venue in the Scenic Rim, this real wedding at The Overflow Estate 1895 will inspire you. Located just over an hour from Brisbane, this serene lakeside estate set the scene for Divya and Gideon’s breathtaking mid-week winery wedding — a celebration filled with heartfelt moments, elegant styling, and soft winter light.

A Scenic Rim Wedding Venue Like No Other

Divya and Gideon were married on Wednesday, 18th June 2025, surrounded by 40 of their closest family and friends. Their morning wedding ceremony took place among the estate’s vines, with sweeping views of the lake and the distant hills of the Scenic Rim offering a stunning natural backdrop.

The couple chose The Overflow Estate 1895 for its peaceful charm, world-class wine offerings, and the way it seamlessly blends modern elegance with rustic beauty — perfect for couples seeking an intimate winery wedding in Queensland.

Vineyards Vows

Their ceremony was held in the early light of the day, with soft breezes and golden sunshine setting a dreamy tone. After exchanging vows, guests enjoyed cocktail hour by the lake, mingling with a drink in hand while soaking in the panoramic views.

A Long Lunch Reception with Blush Pink Styling

The couple opted for a shared feasting-style lunch inside the estate’s glass-walled restaurant, overlooking the vineyard and lake. We styled the reception with a U-shaped layout, ideal for intimate weddings that prioritise conversation and connection.

Our favourite details;

Every element of Divya and Gideon’s wedding was carefully considered to reflect their love story with elegance and intention. The bride carried a cascading orchid bouquet in soft pink and white, perfectly complementing her traditional blush saree — a striking fusion of cultural beauty and modern romance.

Their buttercream wedding cake, finished with fresh florals and gold leaf accents, added a delicate yet luxurious touch to the celebration. Along the U-shaped reception tables, clear glass bud vases filled with blush-toned faux florals created a refined and cohesive styling moment, softened further by warm candlelight and flowing chiffon runners.

It was a wedding that felt effortless yet deeply meaningful — a beautiful reminder that intimate weddings can be just as moving, memorable, and beautifully styled as any grand affair.
